Barangay Competitiveness Summit and Awards 2019

The 15th day of November was a day of celebration for our Barangays.  It was the 3rd Barangay Competitiveness Summit and Awards which was attended by 25 out of 26 Barangays of General Santos City.  The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) is an annual ranking developed to stimulate competitive among local government unites (LGU’s) in terms of Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, and Infrastructure. The local government unit in General Santos City has been an active participant and top-rank in this program.  The city of General Santos has localized the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) which is an annual ranking developed to stimulate competitive among local government unites (LGU’s) in terms of Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, and Infrastructure; now dubbed as the General Santos City Barangay Competitiveness Program.  The city is the first local government unit to implement this program.  Among the winners are: Also gracing the event is, no other than, the Director IV Competitiveness Bureau of the Department of Trade and Industry, as our Keynote Speaker. She imparted with us how important this kind of program is in motivating positive competition resulting to progress and development of the entire city, and how it affects the growth of the nation, as a whole.  Conclusively, the Barangay Competitiveness Summit and Awards 2019 is a big success. Not only did it bolster the resiliency and competitive spirit of the Barangays, it also is a manifestation of the dynamism present in all the Generals.  It leaves more excitement for next year’s competition.
