In accordance with the Comprehensive Land-use Plan (CLUP) and Zoning Ordinance of General Santos City, the following investment priority areas (IPAs) are classified according to the six (6) zones/areas for development. This is to pursue economic development and dispersal of preferred industries and economic sectors in the development of the city.
CENTRAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ZONE (CBDZ) these are the areas specifically bounded by Barangay/s Dadiangas North, Dadiangas South, Dadiangas East, Dadiangas West, City Heights, Bula, San Isidro, and Lagao.
ECONOMIC HOUSING ZONE (EHZ) refers to the areas bounded by Barangay/s Apopong, Mabuhay, Sinawal, San Isidro, Ligaya, and Katangawan.
No incentives maybe availed by retail centers leasing or occupying within the registered commercial centers or shopping malls.
NORTHERN HIGHLANDS DEVELOPMENT ZONE (NHDZ) refers to the areas bounded by Barangay/s Mabuhay, Conel, Olympog, Upper Labay, Batomelong, Tinagacan, Katangawan, and Ligaya.
SOUTH COAST DEVELOPMENT ZONE (SCDZ) refers to areas bounded by Barangay/s Siguel, Tambler, Calumpang, Labangal, and Fatima including areas covered by the special economic zones of the city.
EAST COAST DEVELOPMENT ZONE (ECDZ) covers areas bounded by Barangay/s Dadiangas South, Bula, Buayan, and Baluan.
GENSAN AEROTROPOLIS ZONE (GAZ) this shall comprise the areas along the circumferential road from Barangay/s Apopong and Sinawal going to Gensan Aerotropolis including Fatima, and San Jose.
The General Santos City Investment Center (GSCIC), also identified five (5) Non-Area Specific Investment Activities (NASIA), these include (1) Green Projects, (2) Halal Industry; (3) Healthcare Facilities and Services; (4) PPP Projects; and, (5) Other investment areas as defined and approved by the Board to support the sustainable development in less developed areas of the city.
